自分が年を重ねてきたことで小さい子どもは未来の希望だと感じることが増えてきた。
しかし社会は経済中心に構築されている状況が多く、未来への可能性（子どもたち）に投資されることにはまだまだ検討の余地があると感じている。
親に連れられてお菓子売り場やおもちゃ売り場に行ったときは嬉しさとワクワクが止まらなかった記憶がある。そのときに同時に感じていた苦しいイライラ感もある。それは「見えない」というストレスである。棚に並ぶ商品は全部上を向いていて、上段の方は全然見えず親に「見せて見せて」「取って取って」とせがんだ記憶がある。大人という消費者へ向けられた商品配置は私の想像力を養ったと同時に大人ばかりがベースになっている社会の理不尽さを感じていた思い出がある。
美術館の展示も全く同じである。子どもにとっては下から作品を見上げるにも全容が見えず、正面から鑑賞を決して許してくれない。またこれ以上近寄ることが出来ないと規制となる柵がある。
そのため、今回私は描いた作品は、約３，４歳の子ども（平均身長100cm未満）が壁面設置されている作品を見上げたときに「いつもお菓子売り場で見る風景」を鮮明に鑑賞できるその喜びと、この作品に出会うことで「アートって人に優しい」と記憶に残してあげたいと願い描いた作品である。
As I have grown older, I have come to feel more and more that small children are the hope for the future. However, I feel that there is still a lot of room for consideration when it comes to investing in the potential of the future (children), as society is often built around the economy. I remember being so happy and excited when my parents took me to the candy and toy stores. There is also a painful sense of frustration that I felt at the same time. It was the stress of "not being able to see". All the products on the shelves were facing upward, and I remember begging my parents to let me look at the top shelf. I remember that the placement of the products aimed at the adult consumer nourished my imagination and at the same time made me feel the unreasonableness of a society that is based solely on adults. The same is true for museum exhibits. For children, it is difficult to see the whole picture even when looking up at the work from below, and they are never allowed to view it from the front. There is also a fence that restricts them from getting any closer. For this reason, I drew this work in the hope that when a child of about 3 or 4 years old (average height less than 100cm) looks up at the work on the wall, he or she will be able to clearly see the scenery that he or she always sees in the candy store, and that by encountering this work, he or she will remember that art is kind to people. I hope that when people encounter this work, they will remember that art is kind to people.
